WHO IS THE AUTHOR

I am a returned student at DePaul University, representing the Vincentian way; theosophist (classical eclectic bent influenced by experiences, and reflections on Greek, Islamic, Gnostic, Chinese and Japanese systems and ideas) and social change oriented with experience in volunteering across the U.S. I am strongly driven by lifelong research and interest in World Mythology, American, Central and East Asian history, and martial arts philosophy for practical application of wisdom in living and for the fortification of a strong mind and body in a world of struggle and strife. It is difficult to write about myself, as I do not find myself more important than what I am writing about, but I am told it builds trust and legitimacy. I am learning to own my story as one of triumph and learning from mistakes, and I do not have a traditional or linear professional career and education story. I always sought to fit into a world I felt I did not belong, and not belonging and not finding my place has been my actual experiences and difficulty in this world of living. I began writing and improving my writing to speak the freedom and true power of my convictions and observe the development of my thought; not to be subject to or subordinate to the rules, rejection, indifference, mockery and doubts of others as I have always faced.

Despite this, I am working in every way to accomplish my goals. My story is still being written.

I am engaged to my loving partner, Rhaya who challenges me and takes interest in my studies. I have sought to travel more abroad, like in Italy and Greece. I now have unforgettable memories and impressions and I seek to adventure more.
