INTRODUCTION

We want to nurture and revive Eclecticism, and the Analogetical approach of the Neoplatonists that inspired the Theosophical Movement. We want to learn to master mythopoetic expression and interpretation of hidden meanings. We seek to cast away materialistic excesses and distractions, to mold ourselves through spiritual exercise and action into the civic voices, theologians, protectors, exemplars, scholars, literary writers and philosophers of past and future for the betterment of humanity. This idea is to not give rise to the creation of new religious innovations and constructions, but to provide strength against darkness and remembrance of the Wisdom that has been carried through the Ages to provide for us guidance, hope, salvation and knowledge of the FIRE in us called LIFE.

Being American, the affairs, potential and conditions of my own country, its history and future is of vital interest to me. I am motivated by the fact, that in our day, many sides, groups and political ideologies, including those taking advantage of religious, political and racial animosities have advanced now amid competing ideas. There must be a beginning for us here with the goal of articulating and communicating this vision more intensely and clearly.

There is an approach The American Minervan takes to both Religion and Culture in the U.S. The “Religion Approach” of The American Minervan is very crucial for molding the republican-minded citizen, and definitely a religio-philosophical endeavor and struggle for the truth in the sense Alexander Wilder put it. You will learn to understand: 1) what is called the “hyponoia” (Gr. ὑπόνοια) or underlying (hidden) meaning of spiritual and philosophical works; 2) how to read the modes of speech and the jargon of mythologies, poets and scriptural works; and 3) why these methods were used.

We are explicitly against the corrupting and degenerating effect of simplification, which also contributes to treating people like infants out of distrust in their ability to understand. Our readers understand, are eager to learn, act, practice, preach and teach to elevate Religion.

MAPPING THE ROOTS OF THE AMERICAN ESOTERIC LANDSCAPE

When I first began writing about these topics, I explored the history of America and the origins of American political tradition initially as a critical reaction to Manly P. Hall’s “The Secret Destiny of America,” and the correspondences between Helena P. Blavatsky, William Q. Judge and Chhabigram Dolatram on the question were clandestine individuals (known as adepts or “chiefs” in Masonry) involved in the American Revolution.

The Political History side of my research immerses me into a detailed study of the roots of the U.S. political tradition eventually Italian Fascism, its philosophy and origins within historical context of the Risorgimento. However, there are key religious dimensions and esoteric currents, that emerge within the research, and this history is our link to ancient philosophy and religious revolution.

The aims of the German Rosicrucians and Bavarian Illuminati, in addition to Thomas Jefferson’s brief thoughts about them and the French Revolution led me to want to address this; and to an idea upon which to build on the original idea and purpose. I explain (1) how the U.S. constructed its tradition of representative democracy, the origins of republicanism as not only a form of government but a spiritual philosophy and civil religion; and (2) democracy before liberalism in Classical Greece through personages since the time of the early and late Stoics of Greece, and the originators of Athenian Democracy and Western civilization. The intent in studying Fascism is mainly to a) compare with Republicanism — both being or claiming the Heritage and Legacy of Rome; and b) resolve outdated and conflicting conspiracy that relate Theosophy to Communism and Socialism, Fascism or National Socialism.

This history eventually brings Mazzini, the Carbonari and the Risorgimento, then the Fascists, their alliances, and the Anti-Masonry conspiracy into the picture, fleshing out the history to combat lies and portray a more accurate and detailed historical record. Its purpose is also to demonstrate the example of a political ideal in most recent times of history, which incorporates a defined spiritual and metaphysical framework. There are precursors and influences on the Fascist philosophy from the Stoics to Italian Philosophy and Japanese Philosophy in the culture of the Samurai and Zen Buddhism, that appear in other admired schools of thought as well as our own government’s system.

These bear a strength I recognize and admire, which make them worthy of close study. These traditions, cultures, and schools of thought all possess aspects and outlooks capable of building strong minds and bodies, which should be recorded, adapted and practiced. Stoicism for example has seen a resurgence in our time, but by Stoicism, I do not mean it as diluted for the modern, devoid of its metaphysics. From this genuine effort to revitalize ancient wisdom may still spring new culture and human-beings, hence hopefully, new schools of thought, lifestyles, literature, and educators.

CONSPIRACY IN THE ORIGINS OF U.S. POLITICAL HISTORY

Conspiracy theory (New World Order conspiracy theory) is interwoven into the history of America, such as the anti-Masonic attitude, which contradicts the historical record. Stemming from this is the Illuminati conspiracy, which began at its basis a conspiracy and fear among the masses that spread during and after the time of Johann Adam Weishaupt and his Bavarian Order of the Illuminati. The perspective is terribly outdated given the light of German research that have endeavored to correct the record. Understanding the history of the United States from every angle, as well as new ones if found moves my work.

I fight against these conspiracies, because they are obstructions to students learning the actual history and causes’ they ought to be able to defend and fully embody in our day beyond yelping 1776 and making brain-rotting excuses for racist attitudes. You must learn and reform yourselves, because I cannot do it alone; and since the attitudes of so many people against this history and lineage of “heresies” have been sheltered, justified and fomented through murder, war and greed.

The real history and ideas stupendously complement our history, rather than conflicts with it! The interests, religious skepticism and positions of some of the U.S. founders and framers, including the early spiritual movements of the settlers and esoteric currents possess knowledge that transcend race and political party. A people blinded by an anti-philosophical, bigoted and infantile Christian cultism who fail to express and embody this knowledge before the nations of the world cannot truly claim the legacy of American Republicanism nor defend Secularism. They would not be strong mentally to overwhelmingly push against despotism and theocratic visions. This ignorance degenerates the American experience, stifling our creativity for solution in approaches and answers, which abundantly exist in ancient record or even a couple centuries ago to better guide us.

THE HIDDEN WEST

With reverting Protestant intolerances, irrelevance of shallow political mottos, deceitful platitudes of the Politician, and the advent of neo-traditionalists and sympathetic White ethno-nationalists, I want to show how an expansion or incorporation of complementary elements to the foundational political system in Republicanism can enhance American Identity, Knowledge and Culture in our day. Those that will represent this vision must help to divert the force of the people, rather than contribute to the racial obsessions and “culture wars” that define our age. Radically departing from these attitudes, we want to challenge a people who terribly labor under limited views about its Identity that try to center it in either a post-War superficial multiculturalism, Christian pluralism, Southern tradition or the “Lost Cause” Confederate tradition, or the heritage of the legacy “White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.”

You will find me delving into the relation of the history of Theosophy and the importance of developing an eclectic approach to the Study of Religion. Naturally, this leads us into the history of Magic, Alchemy, Science, the Mysteries, to Iran, Mesopotamian religions and Central Asia, Folklore and Mythology interpretation. This involves studying the history of “The Hidden West” (Gnostic movements and connection of esoteric currents in the Americas, Europe and Asia), with biographies of prophets, adepts and mystics. In most recent periods, this goes through the Medieval Alchemists, Renaissance Platonists, Freemasons, German Rosicrucians, Templars and more (see Timeline of Templars-Enlightenment (1075-1875) and Modern Theosophists (1875-1935).

Therefore, I write about Religion partly to dissect and challenge the ill-informed and malicious tactics of Christian and monotheist religion polemics and propaganda in their exclusivist claims to truth over the “pagan world.” These claims and approaches have led to ever-gradual degeneration of religious thought and bloodshed since their clever constructions. In my view, dismantling core notions and positions within the subject of Christian ecclesiasticism and heresiology — the religion, that has been the dominating influence in the U.S. and in Western Civilization for two millennia is actually key to the advancement in our understanding of Religion, and the repute of Religion, Theology and Esotericism.
