Civilizational Limitations: Ethnic Chauvinism and Religious Rigidity

Má vlast (My Country), no. 2, Vltava (Moldau).” Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra by Antoni Wit.

The persistent emergence of overly-performed ethnic chauvinism, racial arrogance and habits of religious dogmatic or rigid orientation is a combination that will degenerate our civilization far faster than any wave of migrant ever could. As those who immigrate to Western countries have to look up to essentially no men or people no more better, nobler or special than themselves; instead, they are introduced to so many Patrick Batemans’. For some time I’ve continued to focus on historical figures like Azar Kayvan and other similar circles, movements and eras of profound cultural and philosophical hybridism, eclecticism or syncretism between Christian, Zoroastrian, Islamic and Jewish systems, approaches and traditions to dismantle resurgent strains of shallow dogmatic surveys, or repetition of past dotrinal rigidity. In this pivotal moment, we must embrace an expansive understanding of our connection to “Western Civilization,” its roots and its destiny, which transcends narrow fixations on the narrative of colonialism’s evils, racism’s trauma, and rectification (or, from some, outright spite or revenge). This must simultaneously include dismantling the artificial super-assimilative concept of “Whiteness,” a mere tool for “Othering,” and fantasy-building exclusionary spaces and worlds devoid or lacking whatever is deemed “non-White,” “alien,” “not alike” or “non-Western.” The larping men of today are nothing like the scholarchs of the past; and even more, they only so superficially understand the philosophies they admire. Their limitation is similar to Evola. These problems reflect intellectual habits at the root of Rene Guenon’s frustrations expressed in letters to and about Evola, now proliferated into the world in the ideas of other men. Very deluded racists in our time think that their larpy ethnocentric obsessed limitations, aristocratic yearnings and rebranded race realism will magically distill a new Carolingian Western Renaissance! But this domain is not theirs. It is ours — as “lovers of the ancients,” as students and preservers of ancient wisdom untainted by ethnic chauvinistic distortions, racialist supremacism and bigotry.

The history of synthesizers and the esoteric study of Religion is indispensable to this narrative, and orthodoxy has in-effect weakened an adequate and unified response continuously for centuries, especially throughout the history of Christianity’s dominating influence. The future repute and condition of religion must not be conceded to the dominionists of the Matt Walsh and Joel Whebbon-type; nor ought it be seen less in importance to economics, finance, and technology — which too often take up all the air in the room of conversation about what is relevant to modern human knowledge and civilizational advancement. Every pillar of civilization rests on the histories, cultures and developing religious thought explored in Religious Studies. This civilization has reached its limitation. The potential for what can be provided as a solution is inseparable from the human condition itself, and our potential is being wasted, because of our lack of understanding history and approaches that have not been tried. Instead, societies slip into the same old patterns that ultimately lead to civilizational decline, and the heart of that battle is internal. What next great period of human renaissance will we give birth or shape to with human ingenuity to respond; or will we surrender the Revolution of the Ages to boisterous theocratic influences, or the automated dystopias engineered by aspiring-trillionaire oligarchs and algorithms?
