Six Short Articles on God in Theosophy, Cultural Barriers in Modernity, Prayer and Theological Limits

THEOLOGICAL LIMITATIONS AND CONFLICTING TITANS

For many, these positions are heretical, and I am encouraging you to challenge this yourselves.

In attempts to avert challenging the concept of God, many in the nineteenth-century and twentieth-century have sought unfortunately by all means to redefine the term “God” within globalist contexts. I believe we have approached a limit. It is from the inability to take such positions in Theosophy seriously, while copying and adapting from its style and terminology that alternative modern spirituality steeped in materialism and psychism has hit its limit, leaving us back at the last developments in theology, or to modern science (e.g., quantum physics).

There are abandoned, diluted, heretical and defunct ancient philosophical schools that deserve closer inspection as it is believed certain problems were solved ages ago, or at the least to the haughty modernist, provide potential for new developments in theology hindered by religious orthodoxy. I think there is a legitimate reason why certain institutions do not want THEOSOPHY to become popular, and it is not about fantasy ideas about Atlantis and ancient giants in pop culture. As laid out, e.g., in my questions, there are very serious challenges presented to religion as we have fundamentally understood it that are threatening.

With SCIENCE, we have built upon the ancient thinkers and arrogantly insulted their legacy. With THEOLOGY, we have rewritten the philosophies of the ancient thinkers, arrogantly insulted their legacies, and curbed our own development in Areas of Philosophy and Religion, which paved the way for the degeneration of both in a world of materialist and consumerist slavery of mind and body.

But, with THEOSOPHY, misunderstood as merely contextual nineteenth-century Victorian Occultism, we preserve and develop upon the ancient thinkers with understanding of the long pursuit of Truth in the human story; and synthesize the approaches of Religion (or Theology), Science and Philosophy in the narrative of our species. This task is not easy, given the fact that there many people who do not care for the prestige of Theology in a modern world, hoping for a future where there is less or no Religion, which I care about. It would be a mistake and self-defeating of individuals to believe, that these high concepts would have no effect on our ideas of ethics or religio-philosophical perspectives, however, it is the fault of theologians, that have slapped generalist warning labels on religio-philosophical ideas or inferences that challenge Church doctrines. The pursuit of Truth is key to fraternity, social friendship and human welfare and all the world has been dragging its feet through the mud and blood for these two millennium.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dominique Johnson is a writer and author of The American Minervan created years ago and changed from its first iteration as Circle of Asia (11 years ago), because of its initial Eurasian focus. The change indicated increasing concern for the future of their own home country. He has spent many years academically researching the deeper philosophical classical sources of Theosophy, Eclecticism and American Republicanism to push beyond current civilizational limitations. He has spent his life since a youth dedicated to understanding what he sees as the “inner meanings” and instruction in classical literature, martial philosophies, world mythology and folklore for understanding both the nature of life and dealing with the challenges of life.
