DOMINIQUE MONTOYA-JOHNSON is currently a returned student at DePaul University (a Vincentian Catholic university) who lives in Chicago, and a Religious Studies major with Graduate school plans. He has studied classic folklore and mythology (Greek, Roman, Scandinavian, Celtic and African) since a youth. As a Religious Studies scholar, philosopher and historian (main interest in American History), he is engaged in Esoteric Studies, Theosophy and the History of Religion in the U.S., with supplemental regional focus on Europe, Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia and Russia. He was an Egan Hope Scholar recipient in his early college years, engaged in community service in Chicago and other regions in the U.S., spent his highschool years also engaged throughout Chicago in community service while learning Chicago ecosystems and flora biodiversity, and participated as a competitor in State and City History Fair and Science competitions every year. He continues his interests through his writings. After spending years after a long break working outside of college since not fully completing his B.A., he has returned after a long and non-linear path to finish and advance in schooling and career opportunities. Ultimately, he wants to dedicate his life to religio-philosophical, civic advancement and historical research; and contribute to a revival and development of the civic republican tradition in American thought and politics as a serious response and plea against modern political degeneration, materialist superficialities, negligence of environmental crises, corruption and civic education decline.
