Men are not in any general sense, a (nor a more) rational being. And the great mass of men derive pleasure in following other men and in following in general. Men, historically do not choose their destiny well and that of others. He chooses very often leaders that dull and numb him, and kill out his own inability to see those faults in men. He will tear to pieces the men that bring these lies he invents to light, and though he will focus on bringing to light every inch of fault in the women of every age, does everything to avoid delving into his own. He finds greater comfort in finding fault in everyone else, and in women from dawn til dusk. Men are in fact highly emotional creatures, not more nor less than women. He lives his life in conformity to what he considers order, but he maintains structures of so-called order, not simply on as he thinks, reason or logic. The idea that men are the most logical, intellectual, or that he is collectively logical at all is his myth he tells himself. Men like to submit and follow other men. That is what man is, and what history teaches us, and not this creature that is “more logical than women.”
The life of a man is lonely. Men do not generally support each other at all and are full of judgement and jealousies. Many men are ultra concerned with the affairs of other or all men and in controlling them. Much of what creates the boy and consequently such man’s idea of him-self, of his ego, remains largely moved by his experience or delusions of how women react to his behavior, or existence.
A man intent on improvement should dispel outdated notions and myths about men and himself, and question the “nature” and patterns of men. Does he live in accordance to these patterns, and not only feels but submits and commits to these patterns and even expectations of his given social environment? Is he a cow, a herd animal, or a machine? Then, there are beliefs about intelligence in European and Anglo-American thought, to which other people assimilate fully into such culture or thought habits and adopt, or adapt to. These are connected to concepts about social structures, hierarchy, justifications for conquering, for colonization, and limited notions about intelligence and emotion. It is that concept of intelligence that is outdated in relation to neurology and physiology, because thought to be divorced from emotion. If his ideal is return to a so-called natural barbarism, he cannot base this condition of man on such ideas that characterized the Enlightenment thinker. Can he? Any theory about modern degeneration becomes questionable, because his return to natural barbarism would constitute itself a condition of degeneration.
Men have beliefs about men in general that are false and do not expect to change or question what he considers is “his nature.”
Men imagine themselves, through yearly and centuries long slavish, mechanical labor to be the upholder of worlds, a false Atlas. He has not found any diviner portion of himself. He aids in the sleep of men, like an agent of Death. There are so many men, that go twenty five, thirty and forty years of their existence not having truly reflected on his nature, mind and behaviors; and the effects of these upon the world, on men, women, children and queer people all around him. Such men are coddled by their societies, and have their thoughts and beliefs deeply embedded in the culture, hence ready-made for him.
