Perfect Political Systems as a Trap in Republics

I had recently edited and added points to a piece I think strongly explains my views in Where Authority Lies: Republicanism, Liberalism, and Progressive Morality:

Here, it helps to not think of Democracy as a God, or perfect system. Be careful. “Perfect systems” belong to the autocrat, divine monarch, technocrat and utopian.

Why do we want to be careful about “perfect systems” and utopian romanticism? The U.S. system demands a level of moderation, character, discipline and civic knowledge. 70% of Americans struggle to pass a basic civics test, revealing that Americans are struggling in the latter U.S. according to statistics from the Chamber of Commerce Foundation in New Study Finds Alarming Lack of Civic Literacy Among Americans. More specific statistics into this suggests a problem and a threat to our own government. We don’t know its roots, and the roots we know, are hated and discarded for other ideologies. Our Republic is still an experiment. One, which Fascist philosophers said was a dream not possible at this stage, without first guiding the people with a “Hero” and totalitarian executive of the Corporate State. It’s clear, that many Americans believe the same as Fascist philosopher, Mario Palmieri on the Rebirth of Classical Studies, the Renaissance and Ancient Sages.

Our focus should not be on having a perfect system, or utopia. This is a trap both political sides have fallen into in their own peculiar ways. Well, we cannot say that the political Right in the U.S. ideal is a utopianism, since they envision a country free of the Left and “popular”radical Left” institutions. This is not merely flirtation but advocacy for autocracy or one-party system, or corrupted elections preferential towards the Party of Trump and his Apostles. The purpose is to get you to think outside of this limitation so it can open up more creative possibilities and not ground our political solutions in extensions of our current animosities, logic and approaches, which has for a decade now proven to lead nowhere. Can anyone deny this fact? We must become a strongly reflective People, instead of moving in the same thoughts, that have created this current culture and situation. I know for certain, that the identity that the U.S. Right has built up since the 70s is cracking, and their rise through this decade had a window, which they have exploited. Political defeat has given us the position from which to attack from a thousand directions.

I know compatriots, you do not like to be lectured or told what to do. In this time however, citizens need guidance. You must rise above the usual ways. Be a teacher to others. Lead your family. Be a light to you and to others. This administration is not good for all of us. It is time many citizens take accountability as our duty to the whole order and its expression in the World. The younger generation is coming up and must be carefully guided from the mistakes of the past three generations all the way down to the currently adult Gen Z that were able to vote last election. Many from this generation feel into the orbit and influence of the far right and right-wing pipelines. As they are growing up more, I observe that the delusion is falling away from their eyes. You and the next of the Gen Z now able to vote in the next major elections will ultimately determine the outcome of our futures.

Have a little faith. Kindle a little more fire.
