COMMENTARY ON NINETEENTH-CENTURY THEOSOPHY VS. HITLER’S ARYANISM AND ARIOSOPHY

Theosophy teaches a pre-classical belief in a divine potential in the constitution of man’s being and its correlations to forces in nature. Man is, in the Occult Philosophy a power, not just a mere animal. It is a philosophy of compassion, of the Bodhisattva Path, and yet utter self-conquest and iron-will in a world that is not only descending into, but encouraging our animalism, and which is ever-crushing out the spiritual impulse. In Russia, the theosophical movement was once seen as moral hope in a period of cultural decadence, but the Soviets banned Theosophy.

H.P. Blavatsky, the Slavophile thinker along with her criticisms of monotheism, have been it nearly seems, cunningly painted as anti-semitic, and an influence on National Socialism. National Socialism in Germany was a folk movement for Germans, for the “pure-blooded of the race,” although Hitler himself wasn’t. He states in Mein Kampf, perspectives opposite from theosophists:

“Since our view of life will never share power with another, it cannot co-operate with the existing doctrines it condemns. It is obliged to fight by all available means until the entire world of hostile ideas collapses.”

Very well, but what has this to do with Theosophy? Tell us.

Both the modern theosophists and National Socialists hold strange racial doctrines. Yes, this is true. However, Hitler’s racialist ideology grew out of the main culture, German Romanticism, and the ideas of Guido von List and the Theozoologists — proposing odd sodomite origins of Semites versus the master race, which is nowhere in Blavatsky’s writings. There is also indication, or rather fact, that the hierarchical conception of Aryanism in Hitler’s notions were exclusionary to the Jews, and excepting of what were called “honorary Aryans” and other peoples.

Adolf Hitler and the roots of National Socialism are not difficult to find, and his use of Catholicism was arguably strategic, but the Teutonic myth is apart of National Socialism.

It is believed Hitler in a letter revealed that he knew the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was a hoax, and didn’t care. It is the Protocols of the Elders of Zion that brought about the anti-Masonic, anti-secret societies, and anti-Jewish sentiment and conspiracies known today. The National Socialists were not too fond of the German Anthroposophists either, because as Hitler and the Nazis perceived it all — Freemasons, Jews, and the Press, etc., were all in cahoots, and apart of a global international conspiracy to implement the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Again, what of this has anything to do with Helena Blavatsky’s writings? What has Adolf Hitler, a man who presented himself as the guarantor of the Volk — pleading “give me four years,” and pumped high up on drugs (Adolf Hitler abused drugs) during the war, be anything a man Blavatsky, or the Rosicrucian chiefs would have admired?

Adolf Hitler once noted, that it would be disagreeable for him to be labeled as a Christian:

“I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie…”

The Reich and SS would not have been sympathetic to Theosophists (see Theosophy and the Second World War). In fact, they were not at all, and only sought obedience and totalitarian rule. There is this claim that some soldiers found in Hitler’s bunker beside his bed a copy of Helena Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine.

We guess if he did, he forgot the part about H.P.B. mentioning the actual Aryans being dark-skinned peoples.

It was once claimed, that the person responsible for the spreading of the Protocols was Yuliana Glinka, occultist devoted to theosophy, but these claims are however unsubstantiated. Like Alice Bailey, Yuliana Glinka was a theosophical member once too, but it has never been even closely discovered that Yuliana Glinka was the culprit. Spiritualism and occultism was a fad (Fashionable Occultism) in these periods, and especially in Germany.

Jessie Walker claimed in The United States of Paranoia:

“Many of her followers adopted anti-Jesuit or anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, and the Russian Theosophist Yuliana Glinka may have been responsible for bringing The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, a notorious anti-Semitic forgery, from France, where it was composed, to Russia, where it was published.”

Yes, the theosophists were anti-Jesuit, but “anti-Semitic?” A hater of Jews? One could say, there was a respect, but also an understanding of Jewish theological conflicts, which led to the dominance of certain schools over another. A hater of Jews, because Theosophy does not kowtow to the Jewish or the other two major faiths — that it displaces them from the center of the human story? Since, the real story is not about one particular prophet, scripture, tribe or their god, but about the origins of the Occult Tradition through the Aryan, Egyptian, Chaldean and Kabbalists, &c. H.P.B. said, it is time, that everyone get their due (their stories told). The truth to the Theosophist involves a bigger web than these three religions. Yet Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler’s clearest positions on the Jews show they believed in an international conspiracy that included both Jews, Masons and Theosophists, and they took actions against all three. Then preceded to appeal to tradition and authority by lobbying for the support of the Roman Catholic Church. Then, what have the researchers to say to that? So, Theosophists are charged with being both antisemitic and secret masons! Pick one.

HITLER’S CHILDHOOD AND INFLUENCE

Ideas behind Adolf Hitler’s ideology, or the National Socialists who were interested in mysticism are actually based off a very crude interpreted theory of history held in Ariosophy (a syncretism of Esoteric Teutonism and Christianity), Theozoologie, William Chamberlain and Guido Von List’s works. Hitler in his teens was an avid reader of the OSTARA magazine produced by Lanz Von Liebenfels which contained theories that humanity were separated into Pure Aryans vs. Sodomites (See these passages in Qur’an, Sura 5:60; 7:166; and 2:65). The Secret Doctrine on the “Fourth Root-Race” doesn’t even contain or support this theory.

Liebenfels distorted, and mixed his theories with the Teutonic Folk or völkisch as Goodrich-Clarke calls it, in The Occult Roots of Nazism: Secret Aryan Cults and Their Influence on Nazi Ideology. The Ariosophists of Austria and Germany, 1890-1935. Adolf Hitler’s militaristic, political machine is more modelled off of the Italian Fascists of Mussolini and the Roman Catholic order of the Jesuits in the medieval times. The Jesuits and Catholics have always had themselves a terrible history against the Masons.

Adolf Hitler’s history: He was an aspiring artist and abused child. Was he an atheist, given the above statement?

Hitler was actually raised Catholic, and was quite zealous in his religiosity.

“… For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. And when I look on my people I see it work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week it has only for its wage wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people is plundered and exploited.”

This contradictory attitude leads historians to believe he merely used the church. In Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler described a vision of angels, and believed he had a destiny. On BBC’S The Big Question “Does the Devil Exist?” Richard Dawkins in the previous program handled the questions so brilliantly on the topic of evolution and removing the Christian super-natural beliefs concerning the resurrection. In the program of ‘Does the Devil Exist,’ two of the speakers were saying the devil just has to exist, because how will we explain people like Mao, Hitler, Stalin. This regards the study of human behaviorism, neurology and childhood history or development. Alfred Korzybski deals with Hitler in regards to this excellently at length in his work, General Semantics.

NATIONAL SOCIALISM AND GERMAN FOLKISM

National Socialism combines Germanic mystical Folk movement ideas, Ariosophy, Ethnic Nationalism and Political Organization of the State into one movement and form of governance. It is also the manifestation of the climate of Germanic romanticism and philosophical outlook preceding him, underlying the Post-World War I German economic crisis. The third Reich was an attempt in the modern day of a state that had within its inner circle or structure, a folkism rooted in the Germanic culture. It is mixed with nostalgia for Teutonic myths of a golden age. The National Socialists wanted to find the Holy Grail, the Holy Covenant and the mystical Shambhala (in their expeditions into Tibet); and the German State funded these explorations. Some historians have said, that Hitler was not fascinated with the occult and left these matters to Rudolf Hess, Himmler and others, but this is not so.

THE PANEURHYTHMY OF THE HITLER YOUTH

Do you know about Paneurhythmy, or “sacred dance.” People may know of it through dervish whirling, but modern Paneurhythmy was exhibited in the practices of Bulgarian philosopher Peter Deunov and Armenian mystic G.I. Gurdjieff. The National Socialist military and youth demonstration rallies were doing exercises, that can be identified with Paneurhythmy, mirroring the movement in unity of bees. The National Socialists had a psychology and philosophy of consciousness about the rally, which served to create this bee hive unity in a mystical and metaphysical sense.

Although rooted in folk tradition, it was designed to work as a collective mesmerizing power.

One reason Hitler found Islam and Muhammad admirable was its approach to governing. Islam also possessed a similar formula for conquest similar to underlying reasoning for expansionism of the Reich — in the combination of mystical religion, polity and State Political Organization:

“… because we were jointly fighting the Jews. This led him to discuss Palestine and conditions there, and he then stated that he himself would not rest until the last Jew had left Germany. Kalid al Hud observed that the Prophet Mohammed … had acted the same way. He had driven the Jews out of Arabia …”

Muslims in the Middle-East however, responded both negatively and positively to National Socialism. Hence, they did not all support it, but was suspicious of the German Nazis. Some were sympathizers, and some still are.

In reading Hitlers notes on the Bible, his Biblical and extra-Biblical theories are wacky and twisted. It mirrors Guido von List and Liebenfels, but you cannot detect anything theosophical. The R.S.S. & Jesuit Order were enemies of the Masons and Theosophists. What did they think of Hitler? Well, many world leaders thought Hitler was a pretty swell guy, and backed him — even Pope Pius.
